Along with a growing awareness of sustainability issues, consumers are increasingly concerned to know that their seafood has been sourced ethically, with fishers and farmers involved in production treated with fairness and respect. MRAG’s staff combine SA8000 certification with specialist fisheries and aquaculture knowledge to provide insights and assurance to clients on labour and safety practices within their supply chains.
MRAG staff have a strong familiarity with the main alternative social accountability standards and obligations in operation and can work with clients to design a program of services to meet their needs.
Services delivered include:
- Fishing vessel social responsibility audits;
- Fishing company social responsibility audits;
- Social responsibility policy and program design; and
- Social responsibility capacity building.
