Under this project MRAG Asia Pacific provided a team of experienced senior executives to work with the senior leadership of the PNG NFA to strengthen the effectiveness of core management systems of the Authority. The main focus of the project was to strengthen cross-cutting systems and processes influencing overall effectiveness including senior leadership and decision making, corporate finance, information technology and human resource management and training. Alongside these issues, the team has also provided technical and policy support on a range of key reforms, most notably in the management of tuna fishing access arrangements and onshore processing.
